Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7:30 amβ5:30 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Asuncion Transmission Repair at (718) 728-5952; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Flushing is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Flushing peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Wasted my time. I knew my tranny was losing pressure. .. I specifically asked him to drop the pan check see if there any, metal, something clogging the filter....etc etc he said sure Ill check. 3 days later, he says $2250 rebuild. I ask him did he drop the pan? NOPE!. Did he check the filter? NOPE! Did he check, the tv cable. NOPE! Did he do anything?? NOPE. just wants to take your money.

I won't be returning to this shop. While the technician was helpful and unhurried, he couldn't diagnose my AT temp light issue. He used a cheap engine code reader despite this being a transmission problem, and couldn't pull any codes with it. Rather than properly diagnosing the problem, he suggested rebuilding the entire transmission for $3,500βby far the highest quote I received. All I needed was a valve body replacement. For a dedicated transmission shop, the lack of a proper transmission code reader and the jump to an unnecessary full rebuild without identifying the root cause is concerning. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
